Setup Guide
Three steps to sync your library with Obsidian.
Install BRAT
BRAT (Beta Reviewers Auto-update Tester) lets you install beta plugins directly from GitHub.
- Open Obsidian → Settings → Community Plugins
- Browse → Search for BRAT
- Install and Enable it
Add Medianoche Sync
Register the plugin repository in BRAT.
- Open BRAT settings
- Click Add Beta Plugin
- Paste:
ohida/medianoche-sync - Click Add Plugin
Configure Medianoche
Point Medianoche to your Obsidian vault to start syncing.
- Open Medianoche → Settings → Obsidian
- Enable Obsidian Sync
- Set your Vault Path (e.g.,
~/Obsidian/MyVault) - Set an Export Folder name (e.g.,
Medianoche) - Click Export Now for the initial sync

Your articles become rich Obsidian notes.
Full Articles
Each saved article becomes a clean Markdown file with YAML frontmatter.
AI Summaries
AI-generated summaries and perspectives are included as frontmatter metadata.
Mobile Triage
Read and triage articles on your phone or tablet with Obsidian mobile. Everything syncs when you're back at your desk.
Star & Archive
Use hotkeys or action buttons to Star, Archive, or Delete — changes sync back to Medianoche.
Rich Metadata
Scores, clusters, sources, and OG images — all preserved in structured frontmatter.
Bi-Directional
Changes flow both ways. Edit in Obsidian, see it in Medianoche — and vice versa.
