Setup Guide

Add the official community plugin, then activate Medianoche Pro to sync your library.

Install Medianoche Sync

Medianoche Sync is listed in Obsidian's official Community Plugins directory.

  1. Open Obsidian → Settings → Community Plugins
  2. Browse → Search for Medianoche Sync
  3. Install and Enable it
  4. Or open the plugin listing

Confirm Plugin Actions

The plugin adds mobile-friendly commands for Medianoche-synced notes.

  1. Open Community Plugins → Medianoche Sync
  2. Keep the plugin enabled on each vault you want to use
  3. Use Star, Archive, and Delete from commands or hotkeys

Configure Medianoche

Full sync is a Medianoche Pro workflow. Point Medianoche to the folder inside your Obsidian vault where article notes should live.

  1. Activate Medianoche Pro in Settings → About
  2. Open Medianoche → Settings → Connections → Obsidian Sync
  3. Enable Obsidian Sync
  4. Select an Export Folder inside your vault (e.g., ~/Obsidian/MyVault/Medianoche)
  5. Click Export to Obsidian for the initial sync

Your articles become rich Obsidian notes.

Full Articles

Each saved article becomes a clean Markdown file with YAML frontmatter.

AI Summaries

AI-generated summaries and perspectives are included as frontmatter metadata.

Mobile Triage

Read and triage articles on your phone or tablet with Obsidian mobile. Everything syncs when you're back at your desk.

Star & Archive

Use hotkeys or action buttons to Star, Archive, or Delete — changes sync back to Medianoche.

Rich Metadata

Scores, clusters, sources, and OG images — all preserved in structured frontmatter.

Bi-Directional

Changes flow both ways. Edit in Obsidian, see it in Medianoche — and vice versa.
