Terms of Service — Medianoche

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading and using Medianoche, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the software. Medianoche is a desktop application for personal content management.

2. Ownership and Licensing

Personal License: We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Medianoche for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Local Ownership: You own the data stored in your local Medianoche database. Medianoche provides the interface to manage and interact with this data.

3. AI Features and Responsibility

Medianoche integrates with various AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Apple, etc.).

Provider Terms: Use of these features is subject to the terms and conditions of your chosen AI provider.
Cost: You are responsible for any costs incurred via your own API keys.
Accuracy: AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for inaccuracies or errors in AI summaries or chats.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the software unless explicitly permitted by law. Any use of the software for illegal content harvesting or unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty

MEDIANOCHE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, INCLUDING DATA LOSS, ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your license to use the software if you violate any of these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use and delete the software from your devices.
